Lots of Lovely Art create art boxes, sketchbooks and activity booklets for children of all ages, so that you can bring a regular experience of art into your children’s lives!
LoLA is a UK-based company focused on encouraging children’s creativity through art. Started by Alara and Selina (sisters-in-law): Alara has a background in Islamic Art & Archaeology and museum / art-book work; Selina studied at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art, and has experience in graphic design. Their focus is on blending art education, hands-on creativity and inspiring children with the works and styles of artists, past and present.
Each art box comes with a booklet that is created in house by Alara who has more than 2 decades experience teaching art to children of all ages. The boxes are crafted around an art theme and give children references to artists which are well thought about in terms of diversity, known and unknown, male and female. With a recommended reading list at the end of the booklet, LoLA hope to give both greater depth and a well-rounded experience to doing an art project at home.
With seven projects inside each box, this equates to a child doing one or more art projects a week, so one theme could on average last a month’s worth of art and art inspiration for a child.
