Djeco was created by Véronique Michel-Dalès in 1954. She initially created educational games which have been hugely successful and won four Oscars for toys in the 1960s. The family business was put to bed for a while as her child, Frédéric grew up... In 1989 he decided to reawaken the company and set up his offices in the former warehouse, just around the corner from Notre Dame.
He devised a collection of educational toys: wooden & childrens jigsaws, wooden toys, unique card and board games. Djeco Toys & Games are illustrated by talented artists from around the world making them perfect gifts for kids.
The company name is a reference to the gecko, the lucky lizard.
