The Djeco Crazy Motors collection is a vibrant series of die-cast toy vehicles designed to ignite the imaginations of children aged 3 to 9 and beyond. Developed in collaboration with illustrator Steve Simpson, each car boasts a distinctive design, featuring a fixed driver character, metallic paint, and functional suspension. The collection includes a variety of vehicles, from whimsical racers to themed city cars, offering a unique play experience for young enthusiasts. (Djeco Crazy Motors)
Steve Simpson says "All cars started with 3/4 front black and white pencil drawings. In the next round more refined, coloured sketches were created - front and rear 3/4 views. In the final stage before 3d modelling I created front, side, back and top technical sketches".
Each Crazy Motors car is crafted with a metal chassis and plastic components, ensuring durability and a tactile feel. The 1:43 scale models are equipped with rubber tyres and a suspension system, enhancing their playability. Notably, the driver's head in each vehicle is designed to rotate, adding an interactive element to the toys.
The collection encompasses over 20 different models, including vehicles like the "Shark N'Go," "Motor Skull," and "Abys Engine," each with its own unique theme and character. Accessories such as a two-story garage with a lift, car wash, and charging stations are also available, allowing for expanded play scenarios.
Djeco's Crazy Motors series offers a blend of imaginative design and functional play features, making it a captivating choice for children and collectors alike.
Kids love Djeco Crazy Motors for a few important reasons:
-
Super creative designs: Every car looks wild and different — like sharks, robots, rockets, and monster faces — way more exciting than regular cars.
-
Built-in characters: Each car has a fixed little driver with a funky personality, so children naturally create stories and adventures around them.
-
Good quality feel: They're made with metal and rubber tyres, plus working suspension, so they feel solid and can zoom around smoothly.
-
Colourful and detailed: The bright colours, metallic paints, and tiny details (like moving heads) make them really satisfying to look at and play with.
-
Expandability: There's a whole world — garages, car washes, displays — so it’s easy for children to build their own Crazy Motors city.
Basically the perfect mix of imagination + action + coolness. 🚗✨
