Punch needle is an embroidery art technique where a hollow needle, threaded with yarn or thread, is punched through fabric to create loops on the other side.
     
It's a modern take on traditional rug hooking and embroidery, producing textured designs with a raised, looped effect.
     
You push the needle through the fabric and as you pull it back, it leaves a loop of thread or yarn on the reverse side, the loops form the design and you work from the reverse side of the fabric, while the finished side is the front.
     
It's fast and satisfying—great for bold patterns and texture.
     
Create an adorable illustration of a fox which can then be turned into a picture or cushion.
     
Suitable for children aged 6 years and upwards.
     
Kit includes cotton canvas, woollen thread, specially adapted bamboo needle, thread holder, 1 20cm diameter circular bamboo frame for the fabric and full instructions.
